The army doctrine was to always use the infantry command as a central pivot to heavily support the wings. The structure was thought to let center absorb many more casualties than wings and this I foresee as necessary for I expected to meet on one wings overwhelming cavalry forces. The center had some special troops, Art and Wb, that had 2 roles. First hopefully engage and destroy enemy troops vulnerable to them, and second mess the enemy plan enough to force a pip mispending and/or formation disruption. Last but not least Art had also a march interdiction role to gain time to ready my army for combat.

The standard deployment had Bwx in one block in the center, with one Art on each side and WbF behind directly lead by the CiC. Ps could form on a side to contest a terrain, as 2 forlorn hope column to send on both wings to protect mounted by elefants or as a mere reserve.

LhF lurked back in command junctions and on the outer wings ready to exploit an enemy flank. Cav always deployed on a short frontage and deep formation, with the KnF as a reserve ready to hit any suitable target, with enemy Cv generals as first in the list.

The terrain to be choosen depended mostly by opponent, with difficult ones good if facing all mounted armies with no terrain elements, and gentle hills against armies smaller and more rigid than mine. Critical attention have to be put in protecting the train comman, that without fortification is at risk when facing enemy marauders.
