These romans were organized in such a way to let BdS exercise
pression all over the combat front. My plan was to involve them in
combat as much as possible and win or lose with them.
Ps S and Ax S had the role to cope with Wb and with difficult going,
The El and the Art were basic tools for Elephants and first rank Kn
generals, while the few mounted were used to outflank enemy if
opportunity arised or as mere reserve.
The army frontage is very small, expecially for I like to deploy my
Bd 2 deep.
The basic plan was to exploit high Ag, look for night and position
all the army far off a side, tryng to turn the enemy wing before the
enemy unengaged corps could do the same.
Clearly this plan could work versus irregular armies and not facing
another roman. There my BdS would have hopefully made the difference.
Last note, I see this list as a work in progress, I think it can be
improved a lot.

The Roman line up
was of three commands plus a pip dump baggage command. The largest
command in elements and ME included the C-in-C, 24 legionaries [1st
Leg 12 Bd(S), 2nd Leg 12 Bd(O)] and 6 Ps(O). Auxillaries and Bd(I)
with Cretan archers made up the second command, while Cv(O), LH(O) and
Ax(O) made up command 3.

The concept in this army is to field a manouverable elite infantry
force, that has to take the fight trying to outflank enemy and
manouvering it out of position.
AFIK noone has tried a manouver game with infantry, and I wanted to
see if Baecula or Tigranocerta tactics can be used.
The brilliant general strokes then are to be used to double pips and
or change pips.
The basic formation is with bd in 2 ranks (generals behind) so the
combat frontage is very narrow- Attacking is a plus, for let you
deploy second with the night attack option, always handy.
The whole army can be placed concentrated on a flank, with a couple of
CvO far on the flank to delay enemy manouvers, and spring forward.
Good pips, regular troops and double pips if needed should be enough
to win a manouvering circus

C1 - 4 reg Bge(F)
C2 - Sg reg Cv(O), 6 reg Ax(S)
C3 - Sg reg Cv(O), 6 irr Ax(S), 10 irr Ps(O), 1 irr El(I), 4 irr Cv(O), 2 irr Ps(I)

C2 gets the low dice and is intended to secure C4's flank while it marches
C3 deploys in or around rough going and draws the enemies' attention.
C4 deploys at the back and goes on a long walk around an available flank.
