The Retainer Bd(F) are three to a base and will remain that way regardless of what the rules say.

The army can only have three regular commands and no magic tents so needs a plan. The basic idea was to deploy Command 2 mostly in a terrain-cluttered flank zone with Command 1 in the centre. Command 3 on the other flank would normally be the PIP dump so realistically could only expect to fight with its foot or its chariots, not both. The Aamu would either flank march on the same side as Command 2 (which worked well in a practice game) or come on as a delayed command and might be able to achieve something that the alternative (buy another 2 Bd(F) ) couldn't. Commands 1 and 2 have to be capable of taking a lot of punishment so need to be big. The list worked relatively well, though Command 3's Bw slowed the Bd(F) down without adding much.

Given the sheer number of light infantry in the army, terrain is its friend. I wasn't too worried as my aggression was lower than most entries so I expected to defend a lot. Which naturally meant that I invaded in most of my games. Weather played no part in any of my games.
